Southwest Iowa Solar Farm

Southwest Iowa Solar Farm is located outside of Corning, Iowa along Highway 34.
Utility-scale solar provides reliable, clean electricity generation and compliments CIPCO’s existing renewable energy generation portfolio.  At a generation cost significantly below that of residential-scale solar, the new facility will provide CIPCO with additional resources for distributing electricity to our members throughout the state.

Southwest Iowa REC Observing National Co-op Month in October

Southwest Iowa REC is joining 30,000 cooperatives nationwide in October to celebrate National Co-op Month, which recognizes the many ways cooperatives are committed to strengthening the local communities they serve. “Co-ops Commit” is the theme for this year’s celebration, spotlighting the countless ways cooperatives meet the needs of their members and communities.

Move Over Slow Down

The Iowa Association of Electric Cooperatives (IAEC) represents the interests of not-for-profit electric cooperatives in the state, including 35 distribution co-ops and 7 generation and transmission co-ops. Owned by the members they serve, Iowa’s electric cooperatives power the lives of 650,000 Iowans throughout all 99 counties and are committed to delivering power that is safe, reliable, affordable and environmentally responsible.
